Spouse’s Program 2010
By Stacy Krause & Carol Johnson
Last year at the 2009 convention, a door prize donated by an attendee at the Spouse’s Program, drew a lot of interest from other attendees and now has become the main project for our 2010 Spouse’s Program.
Each attendee will receive a bird house which they will have to grout, place rocks where they choose, paint and then they will be ready to hang it in their favorite tree in the spring. Since the last convention, several of us have done these houses and found them easy to do as well as being fun. So let’s get our hands dirty and see how it all works.
After the houses have been completed and because of popular demand, we’ll play a little “Give & Take Bingo”. This was done several years ago with great success and we have some great prizes to give away besides some great door prizes that are donated and distributed.
All spouses are invited to attend. The cost of the program is $30 and includes all supplies for the bird houses; “Give & Take Bingo; lunch which will consist of a chicken breast stuffed with spinach, wild mushrooms and feta cheese; seasonal fresh vegetables and rice; coffee, tea or milk. Last but not least, this is a great opportunity to catch up and visit with old friends or make some new friends.
This would also be a great time to share any ideas that you may have for projects in the future.
Let’s have a great turn out!! See you there!!!
