Larry joined the Durand Rural/City Fire Department in 1966, was elected Fire Chief a few years later and he presently still serves in that capacity. He has been a certified fire inspector since 1984 and had served as an officer for the Wisconsin State Fire Inspectors Association from 1975 through 1984. He was elected to the Board of Directors of the Wisconsin State Firefighters Association in 1982, elected President in 1984 and still serves in that capacity today. He has also served on the Wisconsin Technical College Committee on training, multiple family dwellings and 2% Dues under five Wisconsin Governors. He currently serves on the Chippewa Valley Technical College Fire Service Board and is presently Chairman of the Wisconsin Fire & EMS Legislation Coalition consisting of all Wisconsin fire services. He also currently serves as an alternate on the National Volunteer Council.
Larry served on the Durand Municipal Ambulance Service from 1971 until 2009 as a Basic EMT and also as it’s Director for approximately 23 years, retiring in 2009.
In the past, he also served his community as a City Councilman for 18 years, 16 of those years as Council President until his retirement. He presently still serves on two committees for the City of Durand.

Jim Stormer has served on the Board of Directors of the Wisconsin
State Firefighters Association since 1984 and presently serves
as Vice President of the Association while being responsible for
putting the vendors together at WSFA conventions.He served on the
Lawrence Fire Department for 25 years before moving to Pickerel
WI and presently has been on the Pickerel Fire Department for the past 10 years
while also serving on their EMT Rescue Squad.He serves on the DNR Advisory Council,
working to get grant money out to fire departments under the Forest Protection
Applications Grants.Jim also spends a lot of time working as the zoning administer for the past 7
years for Pickerel, WI.
Jim and his wife, Claudette live in Pickerel, WI.

Barry has been a member of the Cumberland Fire Department
for 30 years, joining in 1981 and has served as their Fire Chief since
2002. In 1997, he was named the American Legion Firefighter of the
year. He also has served on the Barron County LEPC since 1990. In 2007,
Barry was elected to the WSFA Board of Directors and presently serves
as their Secretary/Treasurer. In the summer and in his spare time,
he loves to ride his motorcycle and takes many short trips around the
area.

Ron was elected to the WSFA Board of Directors during
the 2011 Convention, replacing a longtime friend from their area,
Dallas Millard, who retired. Ron joined the Cassville Fire Department
in 2000 and was elected the department secretary in 2001. He is
in charge of filing necessary statistical reports and since 2002
has been the grant writer for the department. His work with securing
grants has netted the department $326,000. He also serves on the
Cassville Harbor Commission. Ron runs a nearly 1,000-acre cash
crop farm with his brother and in doing this, relies on knowledge
gained while earning a degree in agronomy at the UW-Platteville.
Ron and his wife Chantel have 3 children and he’s happy that
his election maintains representation on the WSFA for the southwest
part of the state.

Bob has served on the Board of Directors of the WSFA since 1982 and at present serves as Chairman of the Membership Committee.
Bob has been in the fire service since 1969 when he joined the Nokomis Fire Department, the last 16 years as the Chief of that department. He presently serves on the Little Rice Fire Department, with 16 years service and the last 12 years as Assistant Chief.
He is a certified firefighter and first responder and lives just north of Tomahawk with his wife Andrea.

Barry Johnson has been a member of the Nelson Volunteer Fire Department in Buffalo County for 31 years and has served as chief for the past 21 years. He balances that responsibility with his primary profession as a dairy farmer and his sidelines as town chairman of Nelson, a fire service instructor at Chippewa Valley Community College and a board member of the Wisconsin State Firefighters Association.
He has also served as an EMT for 17 years and helped found the Great River Road First Responders, which serves Pepin County and portions of Buffalo County. He has also volunteered with the ambulance service in neighboring Wabasha, MN.

Bev has been with the Wisconsin State Firefighter's
in the capacity of Executive Secretary since July of 1996. Previously
employed for 23 years with a telephone cooperative, she officially
retired from that position in 2000 and now enjoys working from her
home for the WSFA. As Executive Secretary of the Association, she
enjoys and looks forward to serving the Board of Directors of the
Association as they continually work to meet the goals of all volunteer
firefighters throughout the State of Wisconsin.
