The Fire Prevention Contest has been broken into two categories:
General Fire Prevention entry “Gold Club” entry.

Gold Club Entry: If a department has been a first or second place winner in previous WSFA Fire Prevention contests within the past 5 years and have received a certificate within the past 6 months recognizing this fact, their entry for 2008 will be placed in a “Gold Club” category. One winner only will be chosen from the “Gold Club” entries and will receive $150.00 as a first place winner. Once a department has won a first place “Gold Club” award, the entry will drop back to the general fire prevention entries and as a new phase of programs or improvement on other fire prevention programs previously entered are completed your entry can work themselves up the ladder to the “Gold Club” level again.

General Fire Prevention Entries: To enable departments just beginning a Fire Prevention program or beginning to put their scrapbook together to compete against other departments at the same level and work their way up to the “Gold Club” level.

All entries for both levels are required to be submitted in a scrapbook or a storybook format, outlining their fire prevention program(s). The following points and questions should be covered your scrapbook.
